BRAIN AWARENESS DAY 2017
Our undergraduates put together one booth called "The Magic of Attention" to represent the Eubig Lab's interest in attention, and another booth titled "Early Birds & Night Owls" to represent the Mahoney Lab's interest in circadian rhythms at Brain Awareness Day on April 15th at the Orpheum Children's Museum in downtown Champaign.
Rekha presented our work on set-shifting
Krupa presented our work looking at how cholinergic signaling affects impulsive behavior and attention
Megan presented our work examining the effects of maternal subclinical hypothyroidism on learning and memory
Meg presented our work examining the effects of circadian disruption on cogniton
Fiona is participating in the Living-Learning Communities Researchers Initiative Program this year, and she presented our work on the effects of developmental exposure to methamphetamine on attention and impulsive behavior in Sprague-Dawley rats at the LLC RIP Symposium
Emma H is a URAP student in another lab this year, but she also works in our lab
Laura presented our work on the role of dopamine in attention and impulsive behavior in the 5-choice serial reaction time task at the UIUC Undergraduate Research Symposium during Undergraduate Research Week 2017
Chi presented our work examining the combined role of dopamine and acetylcholine on impulsive behavior in the 5-choice serial reaction time task at the UIUC Undergraduate Research Symposium during Undergraduate Research Week 2017
Chi is our URAP student for Spring 2017, and she was able to work exclusively with Rekha on this project
CAMPUS PRESENTATIONS 2017
MIDWEST SOCIETY OF TOXICOLOGY SPRING MEETING
Megan and Rekha presented what they've been working on at the meeting, and Dr. Eubig was honored for his years as a committee volunteer. Rekha was also awarded the Young Investigator Award for her work in the Eubig Lab on circadian disruption as an environmental toxicant.
